George Mason Sixth Largest State Agency in Virginia

George Mason is the sixth largest state agency in the commonwealth, according to the August edition of Virginia Business magazine. George Mason boasts 3,074 full-time workers, the magazine reports.
The largest state agency in Virginia is the Department of Transportation with 11,566 full-timers. Of the top 20 agencies, nine are institutions of higher learning. Of these, the University of Virginia is the largest with 11,000 full-time employees.
