A new exhibit, Parallel Visions,” opens today in both the Johnson Center and Fine Arts Galleries and runs through Oct. 1. The exhibit showcases the talents of internationally recognized multimedia artist Roberto Bocci. The Johnson Center Gallery features large-scale photographs, while the Fine Arts Gallery is the setting for Bocci’s multimedia installations.

The artist describes his work as a “hybrid form of multimedia art in which I am able to merge my background in traditional fine arts–photography, painting, sculpture, and music–and electronic arts–video, digital imaging, and sound.”

Bocci, who currently teaches digital arts at Georgetown University, is a multimedia electronic artist born in Siena, Italy. He has shown his work in America, Europe, Japan, and Australia. Bocci’s work includes multimedia sound and video installations, single channel videotapes, photographic images, and interactive CD-ROMs for desktop computers.
