As the 2002-03 academic year gets underway, George Mason’s Board of Visitors (BOV) will have three new faces. They are Dennis Garcia of Alexandria, president of Potomac Management Group; Teresa Klaassen of McLean, cofounder and executive vice president of Sunrise Assisted Living; and Long Nguyen of McLean, president of the information technology firm Pragmatics Inc.
The three new appointees were announced last week by Gov. Mark Warner. Warner also announced the reappointment of Leonard Pomata of Great Falls, president of the Federal Group, to the BOV. All appointees will serve four-year terms.
Garcia, Klaassen, and Nguyen replace James Hazel, Scott LaRose, and James Miller, whose terms expired on June 30.
