Achievement Award Nominations Due July 15

Nominations for the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Customer Service Award are due in Human Resources by July 15. They will be presented in August at a ceremony with President Alan Merten.
The Outstanding Achievement Award is presented for a sustained, long-term accomplishment over the period of at least one year that results in significant benefit to the university and department. This accomplishment is within the realm of the employee’s job. A $1,000 check is included with the award. Fifteen will be awarded.
The Customer Service Award is given for an individual or group’s contribution to the enhancement of quality customer service at George Mason. This involves exceptional initiative in “going the extra mile” to provide service to internal and external customers and demonstrated improvement of customer service and satisfaction. The recipient will receive a monetary award and the name of the winner will be inscribed on a plaque that remains in the department for one year.
The forms for these awards are located on the Human Resources web site under “Forms.” Each nomination narrative must address the listed criteria and are reviewed by the Compensation Committee. For more information, call x32739.
