BOV Selects Student Representative

George Mason’s Board of Visitors has chosen Brendan James McMurrer as the student representative for the 2002-03 academic year.
McMurrer is a student in George Mason’s School of Law program and expects to obtain his juris doctor degree in May 2004. He ranks in the top five percent of his class. McMurrer currently participates in the Intellectual Property Law Society, the Association for Public Interest Law, and Moot Court Bailiff. He received his B.S. in Management Science and Information Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
The student representative is a nonvoting member of the Board of Visitors and has the option of sitting in on at least two major committees. The board establishes the policies under which George Mason is governed.
