On Sunday, June 30, the Alumni Association sponsors Alumni Day at the National Zoo. The festivities begin at 2 p.m. with a picnic in Gorilla Grove exclusively for George Mason alumni and their guests. Picnic fare includes hot dogs, hamburgers, and barbecue chicken, along with plenty of sides dishes.

After lunch, attendees will enjoy free time to explore the zoo before heading to the “Think Tank” animal cognition exhibit at 5:30 for a private demonstration and tour led by Robert Shumaker, George Mason alumnus and assistant research professor.

Tickets, $20 for adults and $15 for children, are limited and sold only through the Alumni Affairs Office. Reservation and payment is required by June 20. For more information, contact Andy Ackley at aackley@gmu.edu or x38739.
