The Prince William Campus has been honored as the 2001-02 Business of the Year by the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce, which comprises more than 900 business members. Cited for its generous in-kind and financial support of and active participation in chamber and community endeavors, the campus was chosen in the category for members with 16 or more employees. Additional accolades went to Molly Hastedt, information and events coordinator at Prince William, for her work on the winning Project of the Year.

Executive Vice President Randall Edwards says, “This recognition affirms that we are fulfilling our commitment to the Manassas-Prince William region–to tap the unique resources of the area and to give back through community and economic development.”

The campus has been a chamber member since 1987, and Edwards has served on the board of directors since 1998. Hastedt received a Gold Star award in November 1999, given monthly to the chamber member who has gone “above and beyond the call of duty” in support of the chamber and its mission, and she received the 1999-2000 Behind the Scenes individual award for her significant contributions of volunteer work to the chamber.
