Chemistry Department to Host MARM 2002

George Mason’s Chemistry Department will play host to the Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting (MARM) of the American Chemical Society from Tuesday, May 28, to Thursday, May 30, on the Fairfax Campus. The meeting will feature presentations on forensic DNA testing by J. Butler, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); biotechnology crops by M. Holden, NIST, and D. Kendall, U.S. Department of Agriculture; and bioprocess engineering by R. Goldberg, NIST, and G. Payne, University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Other topics include structural genomics, women in chemistry, obtaining grants, and space chemistry. Registration and other meeting information can be found online.
