UPIC Implements New University Policy

The University Process Improvement Council (UPIC), formerly known as SPAM, has implemented University Policy No. 1101, “Writing, Issuing, and Maintaining Responsibility for University Policies.” The policy was created to ensure that the George Mason community has ready access to well-articulated and understandable university policies. It addresses the development, issuance, and maintenance of all university policies applicable to all units, faculty, staff, and students. In addition, the director of Internal Audit and Management Services has been charged as the university policy administrator.
