The Fairfax Campus hosts fall 2002 transfer orientations today, with incoming freshman orientations beginning in June.
Transfer orientation sessions are held in the daytime and evening. The daytime programs are today, June 11, July 15, and Aug. 1; and the evening programs are May 13, June 12, and July 16. Make-up sessions will be Aug. 20 (daytime) and Aug. 21 (evening).
Two-day freshmen orientations take place June 20-21, June 24-25, June 27-28, July 8-9, and July 11-12, with majors assigned to specific days. If a student is unable to attend a session where their major is represented, they are encouraged to seek academic advising prior to the orientation.
Students learn about academic resources and programs, meet with advisors and other incoming students, and register for classes. Other activities include the Patriot welcome, an information fair, placement exams, academic meetings, e-mail activation, and family programs.
