Summit Program To Be Announced Today

Organizers of the 2002 Networked Economy Summit, “Meeting Security Challenges with Technology,” hosted by the School of Law’s Tech Center and held June 9-11, give an overview of the program at a media briefing today at the National Press Club.

Rep. Tom Davis will unveil proposed legislation to facilitate private-sector innovation in the fight against terror. President Alan Merten, School of Law Dean Mark Grady, and Summit President James Poisant will then announce the sponsors, program details, and goals and objectives of this third annual summit.

Cochaired by Davis and AOL Time Warner Digital Services Development Group Chairman and CEO Barry Schuler, the summit program will feature policymakers who are spearheading the federal government’s security and technology efforts as well as business leaders from the area and around the world whose technology solutions are making the global digital economy a reality.
