White House Deputy Director Speaks on Fairfax Campus

The Communication Department and the College of Arts and Sciences will present “Public Liaison for the President: Communicating the Message of George W. Bush” with Timothy Goeglein, special assistant to the president and deputy director of the White House Office of Public Liaison, tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. in the Johnson Dewberry Hall.
Before coming to the White House, Goeglein worked at WKJG-NBC in Ft. Wayne, Ind., producing its evening newscasts. In 1989, he joined the staff of Indiana Sen. Dan Coats and served as his press secretary for 10 years. During the Bush-Cheney campaign, Goeglein served as the coalitions media director.
The lecture and Q&A session are part of the college’s sixth annual Celebration of Scholarship.
