Women’s Basketball Begins CAA Conference Tournament Tonight

After finishing the regular season 16-13 (10-8 in the conference), the women’s basketball team enters tonight’s Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament as the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 seed James Madison at 5 p.m. in the Richmond Coliseum. The Dukes ended with a 16-11 record, 10-8 in the CAA.
The winner will advance to the semifinals to play the winner of the Old Dominion/William and Mary game on Friday at 8:30 p.m. The conference championship will be aired on Comcast Sports Net on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Patriots split the regular season series against James Madison with each team winning a game on the road. The Dukes beat George Mason 76-64 on Jan. 24, and the Patriots won 72-64 on Feb. 14.
