Health, Communication, and Aging: A Showcase of Issues and Implications in Cancer Communication will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, from 2 to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner in the Johnson Center Dewberry Hall.
Keynote speaker Jan Dravecky, family caregiver and spouse of San Francisco baseball pitcher Dave Dravecky, will share her personal insights as a primary caregiver of a cancer survivor. Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the symposium will showcase a panel of emerging trends in the study of cancer communication and will attempt to build bridges between the theory and practice of communicating about cancer.
The symposium events are free. A $20 fee covers dinner. Contact Lisa Sparks Bethea at x33774 or firstname.lastname@example.org for registration and more information.
