Eating Disorder Panel Discussion Held Today

Rebecca Walter, associate director of the Women’s Studies Research and Resource Center, facilitates a panel discussion, “Eating Disorders: Myths and Facts,” today from noon to 2 p.m. in SUB I, Room B.

Panelists include Wagida Abdalla, physician and medical director of Student Health Services; Fu-Lin Lee, psychologist in the Counseling Center; and student leaders Kymberly Ando and Lori Marchessault.

The event kicks off activities for George Mason’s Positive Body Image Week, Feb. 24 through March 3. Other events include “Advertising’s Image of Women,” presented by Jean Kilbourne on Feb. 26; and a national eating disorders screening and consultation program on Feb. 28. Information kiosks will be set up in the Johnson Center next week.
