National Zoo Nutritionist Presents Seminar Today

This afternoon, Olav Oftedahl, a research nutritionist at the National Zoo, will present “Nutritional Constraints and their Impact on Desert Tortoise Conservation” in Robinson Hall, Room B104, as part of the Biology Department’s spring seminar series. The series features guest scientists from the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area; departmental speakers; and graduate students.
Russell Vreeland, associate professor at West Chester University, will present “Reanimating Ancient Bacteria: Lessons for Mars and Beyond” on Feb. 22. Seminars are held on Friday afternoons at 3 p.m. throughout the semester. The complete schedule can be found online.
