As a culmination to Homecoming week, the second annual fireworks display lights up the evening at the “Patriot Knights” Homecoming party after the men’s basketball team takes on the Drexel Dragons on Saturday, Feb. 16.

The pre-game block party begins at 11:30 a.m. in Parking Lot L. There will be food for sale, and the Sports Junkies from 106.7 WJFK FM will mingle with the crowd and sign autographs before the game, which begins at 2 p.m. Fireworks begin at 6:30 p.m.

Homecoming week begins Monday, Feb. 11, with Gunston’s Dungeon of Ill Fate, a chance for faculty and staff to benefit the George Mason Scholarship Fund. The event is part of the Homecoming spirit competition. For full details, click here.

The events continue on Tuesday with faculty and staff performances and a pageant in the evening. Wednesday is filled with games and crafts and concludes with a bowling competition at Bowl America in Burke at 5:30 p.m.

Valentine’s Day activities, a wrestling match, a comedy and talent show, and a dance cap off Thursday, Feb. 14. Look for a step show to close the evening on Friday, while Homecoming day explodes into excitement Saturday.

The week will also be interspersed with movies, crafts, medieval trivia contests, and a “Defeat the Dragons Hoops Contest.” For more information, including a complete list of events, visit the Homecoming web site.
