Acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel performs an ultra-romantic concert-with-commentary, Sunday, Feb. 3, at the Center for the Arts. Exploring narrative themes, Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel: The Romantic Ballade, features music written by four of the world’s most popular composers: Chopin, Brahms, Grieg, and Liszt.

A ballade is a narrative musical design that relates a story in tones. Sometimes the composer reveals what inspired the work; other times, the composer wants the listener to create his or her own scenario as the composition is heard. In Siegel’s The Romantic Ballade, the audience experiences stirring heroism, intense lyricism, ardent passion, and heartwarming tenderness.

Tickets for the event are $37.50 and $32.50. Charge by phone at (703) 218-6500 or visit
