Open forums on the current status of the state budget will be held on each of George Mason’s three campuses on Wednesday, Jan. 30. As initiated by President Alan Merten, the forums are designed to give faculty and staff the opportunity to better understand what steps are now being taken by the university during Virginia’s financial crisis, and how the various budget strategies now being discussed by state officials might impact the university’s future.
The forums are scheduled for 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Prince William Verizon Auditorium; from noon to 1 p.m. in the original building at the Arlington Campus, Room 269; and from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema on the Fairfax Campus.
