Rossanna Clark, office manager in the Communication Department, is the January Employee of the Month. She joined the department in March 2000 after working in Admissions, where she continues to work part-time on Saturdays in the Testing Center. “She is organized, gets along well with everyone, is dependable, hard-working, and contributes to the department in ways I cannot even begin to list,” says Communication Department chair Cynthia Lont.
Clark spent much of the last year reorganizing the department, from obtaining new furniture to organizing and revamping the file system and database system. “Much of what the department has accomplished over the last year has been supported by Rosie in one way or another,” says Lisa Sparks Bethea, Communication assistant professor and member of the department’s Advisory Council. “In addition to that, she is a great team player, fun to be around, and contributes to the day to day temperament of the department.”
Larry Beatty, associate dean of admissions and director of the Testing Center says, “Rosie’s organization skills, her dedication to helping students and strong desire to do a professional job has contributed greatly to the Testing Center’s professional reputation. She works long hours, remains calm under stressful conditions, and maintains a warm personality when greeting or answering phone inquiries.”
