University observance of the winter holidays begins on Dec. 24, 2001, and continues through Jan. 1, 2002. During that time, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the following buildings will be opened by the George Mason University Police: David King Hall, Enterprise Hall, Science and Tech I and II, and Robinson Hall A and B.
After hours those buildings are locked and access can be gained through use of an authorized card swipe with a GMU ID card. For the staff and students needing access to those buildings, the faculty member responsible for each area will prepare and approve an access list with names, social security numbers, and date of access. These lists should be sent to Lt. Norman Barnes by Dec. 20 at firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to x32801.
The Arlington Campus is closed from Dec. 22 to Jan. 1. The Arlington Campus Police will maintain their daily coverage and can be reached at x38070.
Prince William Building I will be locked down during the holiday break. Access to that building can be gained through a card swipe/GMU ID card. Prince William Building II is open during the holidays with the exception Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. For more information regarding the Prince William or Arlington Campuses, call Lt. Fletcher Daniels at x32818. The Prince William Campus Police will maintain their daily coverage and can be reached at x38370.
