The Office of Admissions is expecting the largest group to date at the Fall Open House on Sunday, Nov. 11. President Alan Merten and Student Government president Bennett Smith will welcome more than 900 potential students and their families to the event, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Johnson Center.
In addition to sessions on financial aid, transfer admissions, and the application process, there will be an academic browsing area in which all of the academic units will be giving special presentations.
“Planning an event that showcases Mason’s best attributes for more than 3,000 visitors is a great challenge, and I am grateful to the hard-working staff members in our office, especially associate director Mark Sistek, for putting all the pieces together,” says Andrew Flagel, dean of Admissions. “The surge in registrations is continuing evidence of
Mason’s growing reputation as a national academic leader.”
