Scott Jaschik, editor of the Chronicle of Higher Education, speaks on “The Reshaping of Higher Education and New Definitions of Academic Standards” in a lecture hosted by the University Taskforce of Concerned Faculty on Monday, Oct. 22, at 1:30 p.m. in the SUB II Ballroom. All members of the university community are invited to attend.
A lecture that focuses on George Mason’s academic standards and relates them to the larger national perspective will follow next month.
The event is cosponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Departments of Communication, Economics, History and Art History, Philosophy and Religious Studies, Psychology, and Sociology and Anthropology, and is supported by the George Mason chapter of the American Association of University Professors.
