Every year, George Mason recognizes its outstanding educators with awards for teaching excellence, and the Teaching Awards Committee is now accepting nominations of faculty members. These awards are given for work in classroom instruction, curriculum development, thesis or research direction, mentoring, or advising. The awards are open to all faculty members who teach at George Mason, either full or part time, in any college or school.
Nominations may be submitted by students, fellow faculty members, or department chairs and deans. Nominations must include a paragraph describing why this faculty member should receive an award and the faculty member’s agreement to be nominated. Submit nominations by Friday, Nov. 2, to the Teaching Awards Committee, c/o Dan Campbell, Office of the Provost, MS 3A2.
A list of previous award winners may be viewed on the Teaching Excellence Awards web site.
