George Mason Creates ‘Sept. 11–Ongoing Updates’ Web Site

The Electronic Publications Office has created an all-encompassing web site related the tragic events of Sept. 11. Divided into four sections, the site includes information on campus activities, useful contacts, and ways to help. The web site address is

In the Campus Messages section, users can access updated messages from President Alan Merten, Provost Peter Stearns, and a number of George Mason faculty members regarding the terrorist attacks and the aftermath. The Campus Activities section lists upcoming events relating to the tragedy, including today’s blood drive.

Useful Contacts provides users with a list of phone numbers and web sites within and outside the George Mason community, including the Police Department, University Life, and the governor’s terrorism victim helpline. The final section, Ways to Help, gives contact information for the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army, among others.
