A second Town Hall meeting is held today to keep the university community up-to-date on the Patriot Project: Revolutionizing Administrative Systems.

The agenda includes a demonstration of web applications to be implemented for personnel information as well as financial reports. There is a short preview of a portal capability that could provide added benefits to the system later by allowing a single point of entry to university information as well as customized viewing. Beth Brock, the project lead, also shares updated information on timelines and milestones for the project. The time also allows for an interactive session to address any questions or concerns about the Patriot Project.

The project team has been very active over the past month since installation of the hardware, Oracle database, and SCT Banner applications software. The implementation team is involved in training.

The George Mason community is encouraged to attend from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema. An alternative session will be offered tomorrow at 9 a.m. in SUB II, Rooms 3 and 4.
