Sophomore forward Charlie Snee has been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 9. It is the first time Snee has been honored by the CAA.

Snee was rewarded for helping to lead George Mason to a pair of victories and the tournament championship at the Hofstra UMBRO Invitational last weekend in Hempstead, N.Y. He had two goals and an assist in the victories over host Hofstra (3-1 on Friday) and 20th-ranked Northeastern (3-2 in overtime on Sunday) as the Patriots improved to 2-2.

After missing the first weekend of the season with a minor injury, Snee made his season debut a memorable one. He had an assist on the game-winning goal by sophomore Steve Luppert against Hofstra, then he posted his first career multi-goal game with two goals Sunday. Snee leads the Patriots with five points, and he is tied with Luppert for the team lead with two goals.
