Outstanding Achievement Award Recipients Honored

Fifteen university employees are being honored today with Outstanding Achievement Awards from Human Resources. The award is granted for achievement or specific accomplishments that improve processes, save time or money, or improve customer service, and result in significant benefit to the university, school, institute or department. The awards are granted twice yearly, based on nominations submitted for review by the Compensation Committee.
The following faculty and staff members are being recognized in the Johnson Center Multi-purpose room at 3 p.m.: Paul Bousel, Academic Advising; Lisa Carr, University Computing and Information Systems (UCIS); Rosemary Chase, University Libraries; Kathleen Gillette, UCIS; Edna Hertsch, School of Nursing; Tracy Holt, UCIS; Maya Karki, School of Law Library; Michael Kelly, Physical Plant; Swati Limaye, International Programs and Services; Dorian Mroz, Music; Cheryl Nalbach, Music; Elizabeth Quigley, Applied and Engineering Statistics; Bekim Shala, UCIS; Patricia Snellings, Media Relations; and Robert Vay, University Libraries.
In addition to receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award, Nalbach will also be awarded the Quality Customer Service Award. The criteria for the award includes exceptional initiative in “going the extra mile” to provide service to internal and external customers with timely and appropriate follow-up; responsiveness to the needs of students, patrons, or customers to enhance the department’s and/or the university’s mission; and improvement of customer service and satisfaction.
