The Book Club has decided to read Galileo’s Daughter by Dava Sobel for its next meeting on Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. on the third floor of the Johnson Center. Sobel bases her book on 124 surviving letters to the scientist from his illegitimate daughter, Sister Maria Celeste. Their correspondence speaks to the history of the times and brings a great scientist to life.

The Book Club is always looking for new book enthusiasts to join. The group reads nonfiction and decides together what it will read the following month. For more information or to join the Book Club, contact Nancy Murphy at x38760.
