Mason Hosts International Database Conference

For the first time, George Mason is host to the International Conference on Scientific and Statistical Database Management, which will be held in the Johnson Center July 18-20.
The Center for Earth Observing and Space Research (CEOSR), the Center for Information Systems Integration and Evolution, and the E-Center for E-Business are sponsors of the event. Menas Kafatos, director of CEOSR, is general chair of the 13th annual meeting, which is expected to draw about 75 scholars from around the world.
Kafatos and colleagues from the School of Computational Sciences and the School of Information Technology and Engineering will also present during the poster and demo session on July 19.
