The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has released its first annual Reports on Institutional Effectiveness (ROIE). These reports, which cover each of the commonwealth’s public colleges and universities, are designed to make information on the effectiveness of each institution more widely available to the public. Additionally, they are designed to serve as a resource for prospective students, employers and policymakers
In profiles on each of the public colleges and universities, four categories are utilized: mission statement, data profiles, systemwide performance measures, and institution-specific performance measures.
The creation of ROIE is the result of the 2000-2002 Appropriations Act. For more information, and a snapshot of George Mason University, visit the SCHEV web site.
