George Mason women’s lacrosse players Jill Toomey and Paula Priest have been named first-team All-Virginia in a vote by the Virginia Sports Information directors.
Toomey, a first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) attacker, tied for third in the league in scoring and led the Patriots with 60 points on 43 goals and 17 assists. Her point total was the second highest in school history, and the number of goals was the third highest.
Priest led the Patriots with 39 caused turnovers, four shy of the school record, and finished second on the team with 47 ground balls. The first-team All-CAA defender scored three goals on five shots, started all 16 games, and averaged 56.56 minutes of playing time per contest.
