With the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) fast approaching, George Mason is searching for guides for teams of students. Each team needs a guide who will accompany the students to fireworks on the Potomac River on July 4, the Baltimore Aquarium, Washington D.C., Kings Dominion, embassies, and the final ceremony in the Kennedy Center. Guides will stay on campus with their groups, and receive free meals and a stipend.
The competition, hosted on the Fairfax Campus, features 500 of the most talented high school-aged mathematicians from more than 80 countries. Opening ceremonies on July 4 will be followed by two days of individual problem solving, as the students work on six challenging math problems.
