U.S. Women’s Soccer National Team head coach April Heinrichs has announced her 18-woman roster for a two-game Independence Day Series against Canada, and it includes former George Mason standout Jaime Pagliarulo. The games will be played on June 30 in Toronto, Ontario, and July 3 in Blaine, Minnesota. The first game will be televised live on ESPN at noon.
Pagliarulo is currently the goalkeeper for the San Diego Spirit in the Women’s United Soccer Association, and she ranks third in the league in goals against average and saves.
Pagliarulo was a three-time second-team All-American and four-time All-Colonial Athletic Association goalkeeper for the Patriots from 1995-98. She holds the Mason record for career saves (375) and minutes played (7,005) and ranks second in all-time shutouts (20.75).
