Kathleen M.H. Wallman has been elected the 15th member of the Board of Trustees for the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study. Wallman is chief executive officer of Wallman Strategic Consulting, LLC, which specializes in advising companies and organizations in the areas of video, voice and data communications, and information technology. She is a principal of the Critical Infrastructure Fund, L.P., which specializes in telecommunications and infrastructure investments.
Wallman served in the Clinton administration as deputy assistant to the president for economic policy and counselor and chief of staff of the National Economic Council, as well as deputy counsel to the president in the Office of the White House Counsel. Wallman also held positions at the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to her government service, Wallman was a partner at the Washington, D.C., law firm of Arnold and Porter.
“Kathy’s legal, business and public service background will be a great asset to the Krasnow Institute,” said Mark Friedlander, board chairman. “As the Krasnow Institute continues to grow in both size and stature, our board will play an increasingly important role in providing strategic vision and direction for the growth of the scientific program.”
