In recognition of Law Day, U.S Attorney General John Ashcroft speaks today at 3 p.m. in the Arlington I atrium on the Arlington Campus. The topic of his talk is victim’s rights. The event is open to the university community.
President George W. Bush nominated Ashcroft as attorney general of the United States in December 2000. Upon confirmation by the Senate, Ashcroft pledged to renew the war on drugs, reduce the incidence of gun violence, and combat discrimination so no American feels outside the protection of the law.
