The 3rd Annual George Mason Patriot Anti-Violence Education (PAVE) 5K Fun Run will be held on Sunday, April 29, on the Fairfax Campus. More than 250 participants have already registered.
Presented by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in cooperation with Sexual Assault Services, this event raises money for non-violence education, honors a victim of violence, and brings the community together in support of victims’ rights.
Among those who have attended in previous years were Congressman Tom Davis, former Congressman Matt Salmon, and Gail Willard, mother of Aimee Willard, a star in soccer and lacrosse at George Mason, who was murdered in Philadelphia in 1996.
Entry is $25 per person. Registration begins at the Patriot Center at 9 a.m.; the race starts at 10 a.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Aimee Willard Endowed Scholarship Fund. For more information, contact James Meyer at x33215.
