The University Speakers Bureau is now recruiting speakers for the 2001-02 academic year. Considered one of the “best practices” in community relations at George Mason, the speakers bureau has become a valuable resource to the surrounding community, and has earned the respect of universities across the country as a program worth modeling, according to community relations coordinator Traci Claar.
Its success is due to the faculty, staff, and alumni who have volunteered their time and knowledge to speak to organizations and businesses in the surrounding communities free of charge. For more information, or to join the Speakers Bureau, contact Claar at x38846 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Faculty and staff members who are currently members of the bureau will automatically receive an update form via email.
