University Services has appointed Sandra Pope as the new director of the Child Development Center (CDC). Pope comes to George Mason from Purdue University, where she was director of the child care program. She hopes to maintain and improve the high quality program that is already in existence and looks forward to building relationships with children, parents, faculty, staff, and the George Mason community.

“I am very excited about the position and working with George Mason,” says Pope. “I want to get to know the university community, and by doing so, I hope to make some strong connections between the center and the community.”

CDC is committed to servicing university faculty, staff, and students by providing child-care for children ages two to five. The center is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. For more information about the center, visit CDC’s web site.
