TFA Announces New CD Recording of Sing Down the Moon

The soundtrack recording to Sing Down the Moon, the musical production that premiered at George Mason last year and that was recently nominated for five Helen Hayes Awards, is now available.
Introduced by the Theater of the First Amendment (TFA), this acclaimed production was created by director/playwright Mary Hall Surface and composer David Maddox. It is a musical adaptation of six Appalachian folk tales which combines and regionalizes such well-known European fairy tales as “Cinderella,” “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “The Three Little Pigs.”
Sing Down the Moon was nominated for the following Helen Hayes Awards: Outstanding Resident Musical, Outstanding New Play, Outstanding Director of a Resident Musical (Mary Hall Surface), Outstanding Musical Director of a Resident Play or Musical (David Maddox), and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Resident Musical (Dwayne Nitz).
