Health and Fitness Challenge Begins Wednesday

The Health and Wellness Center sponsors the sixth annual Health and Fitness Challenge Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Johnson Center Multipurpose Room. The challenge provides various health-related activities, information, health screenings, and freebies. Opening ceremonies are Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Johnson Center Foodcourt.
Health and Fitness Challenge events include free and low-cost personal screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, osteoporosis, vision and hearing, and oral cancer; the SMART START program for healthier eating presented by University Dining Services; demonstrations of alternative therapies, including aromatherapy, herbology, massage, acupuncture, Reiki, and chiropractic; and demonstrations of jazz and tap dancers, martial arts, kickboxing, and senior fitness. Individuals who participate in each of the five “Gold Star” activities receive a complimentary T-shirt.
