Soloists Take the Spotlight in Concert Tonight

Anthony Maiello, conductor of the George Mason Symphony Orchestra, along with guest soloists Celia Amstutz, organ, and James Nalley, piano, take the stage tonight for Soloists in the Spotlight. They are performing the Symphony No. 3 (Organ Symphony) by Camille Saint-Saens at 8 p.m. at St. Marks Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Road, in Vienna.

Winners of the 2000-01 student concerto competition are also on hand for the concert. They are Katie Weeks and Debbie Madsen, soprano; Daisy Kim, violin; and Gregory Freeman, trombone.

Tickets, available at the door, are $7 for adults and $5 for George Mason students. Fifty free tickets are also available for students.
