First Virginia Bank recently initiated an endowed faculty fellowship within the School of Management. First Virginia intends to build the value of the fellowship’s endowment to $250,000 over the next five years.

“We are proud to be a partner with George Mason University and pleased to create this fellowship,” says Michael Anzilotti, president and CEO of First Virginia Bank and a member of the George Mason Foundation Board of Trustees. “George Mason University is the crown jewel of our area and one of the many reasons companies find our community so attractive.”

The First Virginia Bank Faculty Fellowship Endowment will enable emerging faculty members to pursue research or professional development activities in the management of financial resources.

“Faculty fellowships provide resources vital to the university’s ability to attract and retain the best and brightest,” says President Alan Merten. “We are most grateful to First Virginia for generously supporting our efforts with this leadership gift.”
