George Mason’s Multimedia Performance Studio (MPS) and Cyburia Productions present Silence and Darkness, today and tomorrow at 8 p.m.; Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m.; and Wednesday through Saturday, March 21-24, at 8 p.m. All performances take place in Harris Theater.
Silence and Darkness, a live movie written and directed by Kirby Malone, integrates live action, song and dance, digital projections, and sound design with a score composed and performed by the band Grommit. The performances envision the frustrations with the lack of human connections in an ever-expanding technological age.
MPS is a professional presenting and research division of the Institute of the Arts’ Division of Art and Visual Technologies. All MPS productions feature faculty, students, and guest artists in collaboration.
Admission for Silence and Darkness is free for all George Mason students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID, and $7 for the general public. For more information, contact the Center for the Arts at x38888.
