The Book Club is looking to increase its membership, and current members are inviting Mason faculty and staff to this month’s discussion. Tomorrow, at 5 p.m., the club will review Nothing Like It in the World: The Men Who Built the Transcontinental Railroad 1863-69, by Stephen Ambrose.

The book tells the story of the investors, politicians, engineers, surveyors, and immigrant laborers who together were responsible for driving in the last spike, a golden one, in Promontory Summit, Utah.

The Book Club meets once a month on the third floor of the Johnson Center. For more information, contact Nancy Murphy at x37860.
