Nominations for the George Mason Citizenship Award are due in the Human Resources Office by March 12. This is a new award that recognizes individuals or groups who are true advocates for the university and its goals and activities. The hallmark of the individuals or groups is participation and support for projects and events outside their own department. “We are looking for true cheerleaders who participate in a broad range of efforts that improve the George Mason community,” says Martha Reiner, awards coordinator for Human Resources.
The nomination form is on the Human Resources web site under the Forms and Materials link. The attached narrative(s) must address the above criteria. The award will be presented on University Day, April 10, and the winner will receive $500 in Mason Money and a framed certificate.
