George Mason University hosts the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Swimming and Diving Championships today through Saturday, at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. The meet begins with diving trials today at 11 a.m. Preliminary meets will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with the finals at 6 p.m.
All-session passes are $35 for adults and $25 for youths (18 and under) and seniors (62 and over). Tickets can also be purchased for each individual session. The price is $7 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors. Ticket sales will begin two hours prior to the beginning of the meet Thursday and will not be needed for today’s session.
James Madison University enters the meet as the two-time defending champion on the men’s side. The Mason men are led by sophomore Cameron Charlton, the defending CAA champion in the 200 breaststroke.
The women’s race is wide open as last year’s champion, East Carolina University, has elected not to compete. The Mason women are led by junior Louise Middlemore, the defending CAA 100 and 200 breaststroke champion.
