Do you remember the Titans? As a player for the 1971 T.C. Williams High School football team, University Police Chief Mike Lynch remembers them well.
On Thursday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m., Lynch will moderate a panel that includes some of his former teammates in the Johnson Center Multipurpose Room. The panel is free and open to the public and follows the 6 p.m. viewing of Remember the Titans, starring Denzel Washington. Audience members can engage with the panelists through a question-and-answer format. The discussion will focus on the actual events versus the Hollywood portrayal, the effect the events had on the panelists’ lives, and the impact of recent media attention.
Panelists include offensive guards, #54 Mike Lynch and #64 Jerry Buck; linebacker, #62 Rufus Littlejohn; quarterback, #10 Jerry Allen Harris; and offensive line coach Paul Hines.
The Program Board, University Police, Student Activities, the Johnson Center Cinema, and University Life are sponsoring the event. For more information, contact Student Activities at x32909.
