Kick Start Your New Year’s Resolution with Deep Water Aerobics

Interested in a lunchtime workout that won’t leave you sweaty? The Aquatic and Fitness Center is offering Deep Water Aerobics every Tuesday and Thursday. The class has been offered since September, with a group of campus staff members who claim to have increased endurance, flexibility, and camaraderie from their participation. More people are needed to keep the class running.

The class runs from noon to 12:45 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. The cost is $50 for non members, $40 members, and $7 for a daily drop in fee.

The class is held in the competition pool, and participants wear floatation belts that enable them to jog, cross-country ski, kick, and perform other movements in the water while staying afloat. The class is aerobic but non-impact, and you do not need to be a swimmer to participate.
