Frank Blechman, Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR), presents “What Are We Talking About: Survey of the Journals of Conflict Resolution” tomorrow from noon to 1:30 p.m.

In the lecture, Blechman discusses the results of a recent survey he conducted of three leading journals in the field of conflict resolution. The results he reports tomorrow are based on careful examination of every issue of these three journals from 1994 to the present.

His research goal was to identify what the journals emphasized and failed to emphasize. He hopes that the results he presents will generate a discussion not only about the journals in the field but about ICAR’s place in the field. “Is ICAR ahead of the curve, behind the curve, or out of step altogether?”

The presentation is part of the ICAR Brown Bag Lecture Series. It is held in the ICAR Main Conference Room, A401, located at 4260 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax.
